Sandringham House, although a Royal residence does not have the rarefied atmosphere of a grand house, this is largely due to the fact that much of the content and the decor, remain almost as they were in the Victorian and Edwardian era's. A quiet country charm pervades the house and it is easy to imagine the Royals relaxing in this beautiful place. The rooms open to the public on the ground floor, are those used by the Royal Family. The park church, where the Royal Family attend services is quite exceptional. It has a strong spiritual atmosphere and many reminders of its historic past, included in these is an organ that was the last gift of King Edward VII.
